Police urged motorists on Tuesday to be very careful as parts of the Nicosia to Limassol highway are dangerous due to heavy rainfall.

The areas affected the most are Kornos up to the entrance of Nicosia, police said, and drivers are urged to drive carefully.

Water has also accumulated on parts of the tarmac near the GSP stadium in Nicosia.

Due to rainfall and dense fog, visibility is limited in Platres and the Troodos mountain range.

Drivers are urged to be particularly careful, drive at low speeds, maintain safety distances from other vehicles and keep their car lights on.
