Court date set for teen who stabbed his father

A 19-year-old man who stabbed his father last Wednesday and was arrested on Sunday will be prosecuted it was decided on Monday.

According to preliminary investigations, the 19-year-old son quarreled with his father, 48, who has mobility issues and uses a wheelchair, at the family’s home in Emba, Paphos.

During the fight the young man pulled a knife and stabbed his father. The mother and other family members were also present at the time.

The victim was not seriously injured.

The attacker, who fled the scene, has been in trouble with police before.

He will appear in court on January 15, 2018.
