Police to destroy, fireworks and explosives

Fireworks and other items seized as evidence or found by police, as well as expired tear gas spray and grenades, will be destroyed on Monday at the National Guard’s Kalo Chorio, Larnaca firing range, a police report said.

According to the report, the items will be destroyed from 7am to 2pm.

During this time, the public may hear explosions, or a series of explosions, the effects of which may reach an altitude of 1,500 feet and a diameter of 1 kilometre.

Police said all precautionary measures will be taken.
