An anthem against racism

The artistic project The Alien Trail will conclude tomorrow in Paphos with a screening of the documentary of the same name.

The project, which focused on a photography exhibition by Nikos Economopoulos from Greece, Antoine D’Agata from France, Bieke Depoorter from Belgium and Nicolas Iordanou from Cyprus, presented the theme of refugees and migrants on our island. The project and exhibition aimed to examine and present these minority groups to society so they may be seen and understood, and hopefully accepted.

The Alien Trial will conclude with the first official screening of the documentary which followed the entire journey of the photographers. The documentary, directed and produced by Nicolas Iordanou and Sylvia Nicolaides, is an anthem against racism and social exclusion of minorities in modern Cypriot society.

After this first screening, which is part of the official events of the European Capital of Culture Pafos2017, the documentary will be presented in international festivals.
