A double-cabin truck was extensively damaged by arson in Limassol early on Wednesday.

According to the fire service, flames erupted at around 3.45am in the car that was parked on Beethoven street in Ayios Nikolaos, in Limassol.

The blaze was put out some 20 minutes later by the fire service, but it extensively damaged the vehicle owned by a 70-year-old man.

Following investigations, police and the fire service determined it was arson.

The owner reportedly told police he suspected no one.
