Arrested for punching stadium steward (Updated)

A 33-year-old resident of Limassol who was arrested on Wednesday afternoon after he allegedly hit a steward at Tsirion football stadium was charged with violence on Thursday. His trial is scheduled to begin on January 21.
Until then, the Ael supporter is barred from attending all public sports events. He was released after paying €5,000 as a guarantee.
The steward reported that while he was carrying out a body search on the man as he entered the stadium at around 5.40pm before the Apollo-Ael football match he punched him in the face.
