Six injured in car accident

A driver was trapped in his car and six people were injured in a traffic accident in Limassol late on Thursday.

At 11.45pm the fire services were informed that a car had crashed into a scooter at the intersection of Omonia and Macedonia avenues.

The occupants of the vehicle, four adults and a child, and the motorcyclist were all injured.

The driver who was trapped in the car was freed by the fire services, received first aid on the spot and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

The motorcyclist was transferred to Limassol general hospital by a member of the public, the child by relatives and the other three passengers by ambulance.
