Paphos police have been kept busy after they were alerted to three burglaries in the district on Sunday, two in Peyia and one in Tsada.

A Peyia homeowner, 56, reported that unknown persons entered her home in her absence between 6.15pm and 7.30pm and stole €220 and jewellery of as yet unknown value.

The perpetrators allegedly moved on to rob a second residence located opposite which belongs to a British couple who is currently abroad. It is not known at this stage what was stolen.

Thieves also broke into a Tsada residence between 4.15pm and 6.30pm and took €200 in addition to valuables worth €4,800.

In all three cases the thieves broke in by forcing open doors with sharp objects.
