Dog bites off man’s fingertip

A dog bit off part of a man’s finger in Larnaca late on Monday afternoon, police said.

Police were told that the incident happened at around 6.15pm while the man was in the yard of his home in Meneou.

The report said a bulldog that was passing by attacked him and bit off part of the middle finger of his left hand – nail phalange.

The man was taken to a private clinic while police launched an investigation into the incident.
