A man who tested positive for drugs early in the morning on Friday in Paphos was arrested and later released.

Police stopped the driver of a car, a 22-year-old resident of Paphos, at 2.30am and took a second sample to be sent to the state laboratory for tests after his saliva showed he was under the influence of drugs.

He was later released and will be summoned when the results of the tests are available.
