Man injured in motorbike accident

A 32-year-old man is in critical condition in Nicosia hospital after he was injured in a road accident on Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened in Aglantzia, Nicosia, at around 3.15pm when his motorbike collided with a car driven by an 18-year-old woman.

The injured man was taken to the general hospital by ambulance. He was diagnosed with multiple fractures in his arms, legs and pelvis and a hematoma from a head injury.

After he had surgery he was kept in the intensive care unit due to the severity to his injuries.

The driver of the car who was tested for alcohol was not under the influence.
