Limassol man,70, dies after being hit by car

Seventy-year-old Michalakis Michaelides died on Saturday after he was hit by a car while crossing a street in Limassol.

The accident occurred at around 3pm on 28th October Street, police said, when a car driven by a 28-year-old woman hit Michaelides who was crossing the street.

He was transferred to the Limassol general hospital where he died a while later.

The woman was arrested.
