Temperatures are forecast to stay at the same levels on Wednesday and Thursday, reaching 36C on the central plain, 30C to 32C in coastal regions and 24C in the mountains.
In the higher mountains the top temperature is 24C.
On Friday and Saturday it will be slightly cooler.
Some clouds are expected during the afternoons on these two days, and it may rain in the mountains and inland.
The lowest temperatures at night are 19C in most areas and 14C around Troodos.
Dust levels which were high in some areas on Tuesday were reported to be lower on Wednesday morning but still above acceptable limits overall.
