Where do you live?
Paphos, with my two daughters Bella (13) and Georgy (9)
Best childhood memory?
Singing on the stage!
Most frequented restaurant and absolute favourite dish?
This is a hard question! It depends on my mood!! I love pasta and chicken dishes. I dislike offal – liver and kidney.
What did you have for breakfast?
Breakfast?! What’s that?!
Would you class yourself as a day or night person?
I guess I would have to say a day person. This year I opened the The International Foundation Centre, Paphos with my partner and his mother which keeps me very busy! Added to that I’m a singer, sometimes solo and sometimes with Lady & The Tramps as at Music Fest, plus I have several weddings and private events a year. So, by 8pm I’m usually falling asleep on the couch!
What is your favourite night out?
My favourite night doesn’t really consist of going out; I love to spend quality time with my children and also snuggled up on the couch watching Friends with my partner.
Best book ever read?
Beautiful, a biography by Katie Piper. This book gives me so much strength. I enjoy seeing how someone can lose everything but fight to survive and end up even more successful and happy than before.
Favourite film of all time?
The Hurricane scarring Denzel Washington, who plays the role of Rubin ‘Hurricane’ Carter, a middle-weight boxer. It’s a true story of how Carter is wrongfully accused and sentenced to three life terms in prison.
Favourite holiday destination or best holiday ever taken?
I recently visited Kyrenia with my partner and there are many fond memories of this trip. One in particular was when we released turtle hatchlings into the ocean. It was a touching moment and something I will never forget.
What music are you listening to in the car at the moment?
Music is my greatest passion and so I like to listen to all genres; Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Queen, Tina Turner, Andrea Bocelli are a few. As a wedding singer I also have to learn a lot of new songs and so I find it easier to do this in the car!
What is always in your fridge?
Milk! My partner is tea obsessed!
Dream house: rural retreat or urban dwelling? Where would it be, what would it be like?
My dream home would have to be somewhere secluded. I love the ocean so a place on my very own stretch of sea would be lovely. How it will look like doesn’t really matter to me; a house is not a home without the people inside it. So anywhere my family is I will be happy.
What is your greatest fear?
I try to live without regrets and I always believe in helping others. As long as I am a good person and I’m healthy then I’m happy. So my only fear is for my children; I so hope that they will be happy and successful. You never truly feel fear until you become a mother!
If you could pick anyone at all (alive or dead) to go out for the evening with, who would it be?
I would pick my brother Chris. Unfortunately he was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis a few years ago; he now lives in a special care home in the UK. He is a fighter, a pillar of strength and in all this time he has never given up. He’s lost the ability to walk, to move, to talk and now to eat normal food. When I visit him it’s very hard to have a conversation with him as he cannot communicate. I can’t imagine the frustration in understanding everything but not be able to speak. He is the real reason behind my Music Fest venture; the Cyprus MS Association will share the takings with one other charity SMHC.
Tell me a joke?
What kind of exercise do lazy people do? Diddly-squats!!
