Larnaca honours Israeli cruise ship company

Larnaca honoured Israeli businessman Moshe Mano, for his contribution to the town as his cruise ship Golden Iris has carried thousands of passengers from Haifa over the past eight years.

According to a statement by the Larnaca Tourism Board, Mano Maritime’s Golden Iris will carry out 35 arrivals this year from Haifa until mid-November. The cruise ship’s capacity is 947 passengers.

Mano, who is the chairman and CEO of Mano Maritime, was presented with a plaque to mark the 300th docking of the vessel at the Larnaca port by Larnaca mayor, Andreas Vyras, who also declared him ‘Larnaca’s Loyal Friend’.

Mano said he aims to continue and increase his presence in Larnaca.

The arrivals of the Golden Iris over the last eight years equal 250,000 visitors, the majority of whom visited Larnaca, the tourism board said.
