Three injured in road accident

Three people involved in a traffic accident were injured on Tuesday evening on the Timis to Anarita road.

Around 9pm a 25-year-old driver who was accompanied by his 18-year-old wife collided head-on with another vehicle driven by a woman aged 62, a resident of Paphos.

According to police he was driving on the wrong side of the road.

The fire services had to free the couple who were trapped in the car.

The three injured people were taken to Paphos hospital where the 62-year-old woman was diagnosed with a pelvic lesion and the 18-year-old with an elbow dislocation. The man underwent surgery due to a chest injury.
