One of the most important Greek painters of our time, Alekos Fasianos, will be in Limassol for the opening of his exhibition Little, Little, Little on Saturday.
But the opening of the exhibition is not the only thing that Fasianos will be celebrating, he will also be present at the inauguration of the Gold Gallery by Kapatays (where the exhibition will be displayed) by Energy Minister Giorgos Lakkotrypis.
The exhibition will include 30 original works of small dimensions by Fasianos (the dimensions are from 20cm x 25cm to 60cm to 80cm.) The paintings were inspired by our local sea and also focus on people, nature and the environment. This new series, which was created especially to be shown in Cyprus and at this specific event, showcases the artist’s distinctive use of lines, colour and movement.
After graduating from the Athens Academy of Fine Arts, Fasianos moved to Paris in 1960 to study lithography at the Paris National School of Arts. He used to design the stage decorations for major classic and modern productions, seeking out his own unique artistic forms at the same time.
Fasianos’ art has been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world, particularly in Athens, Paris and throughout Europe, as well as in Tokyo, New York, Sao Paulo and Melbourne.
This is the fourth solo exhibition that Fasianos has shown in Cyprus, and his first in Limassol.
