A week of burgers straight ahead

For all burger lovers out there, lick your chops at the news that the fourth Moondog’s Burger week will be in full swing as of Monday.

Before we get into the musical events of the week, first things first, what you can expect to eat and drink. There will be 30 types of epic, juicy and delicious burgers for you to choose from and over 200 beers to wash them down with. And, as in previous years, there will also be a draw for two lucky diners to attend a concert. This year you can eat your way to the Rockwave Festival on July 20 in Athens, which will include performances by the bands Iron Maiden, Volbeat and Tremonti.

All you have to do is go down to Moondog’s, eat some of the burgers included in the Burger Week menu – each burger counts as one entry in the competition – and be part of the chance to take a friend along to Athens, where you will stay in a four-star hotel and get tickets to the festival. The draw will be carried out and winners announced on June 10.

As for the live concerts during the week, it will all begin on Monday with singer and musician Giorgos Gregoriou. Tuesday, composer, instrumentalist, vocalist and guitarist Stefanos Georgiadis will take to the stage. The local band The Wander Kind will fill us with much musical wonder on Wednesday, which leads to Thursday and the local all-boy rock group the Logout Band. Things will start to really heat up for the weekend on Friday with the four-member blues and rock band The Boots. That leaves us with the hard rock, classic rock and metal band Fuse to keep the week’s passion burning bright on Saturday and a performance by Elektrik Man on Sunday, who will show how he experiments with sound.
