€3,000 taken from kiosk in Oroklini

A 25-year-old man from the Larnaca district, was arrested to facilitate police investigations in connection with a string of burglaries and thefts

Robbers got away with €3,000 from a kiosk in Oroklini after injuring the owner on Thursday evening.

According to police, two men entered the kiosk in the tourist area of Oroklini at 11.30pm and after buying a couple of items one of them grabbed the owner by the throat and the other one hit him, injuring him slightly.

The two then took the contents of the till and a bag belonging to the owner’s wife before they ran away.

Their movements and faces were recorded as they were not hooded.
