Service to be held in occupied Lefkoniko

The service will take place in Nicosia

The Constantia-Famagusta Bishopric said on Friday that a church service will be conducted on Saturday at the church of Archangelos Michael in the occupied village of Lefkoniko for the first time since 1974.

The service will be carried out between 7.30am and 10.30am in the renovated church of by the Bishop of Constantia-Famagusta, Vasilios, along with a number of archimandrites and priests of the bishopric.

Free buses will depart from the Lafkoniko municipality’s offices in Nicosia at 6.45am, from Kosmyria restaurant in Aradippou, also at 6.45am and from Ayios Georgios Havouzas in Limassol, at 6.30am.

A reception will be held after the service, at 1pm in Kosmyria restaurant in Aradippou.
