Police arrest 14-year-old for knife and pot possession

Police arrested a 14-year-old boy in Limassol on Friday night after they said they found three retractable knives, and cannabis in his possession.

According to authorities, the boy appeared in Limassol District Court on Saturday, where he was remanded in custody for a day.

Police said that initially they had received a complaint about noise and a dumpster fire at the Ayia Fyla roundabout in Limassol.

On arrival, police said that youth started throwing rocks at them, lightly injuring one of the officers.

Police noted that the boy was then arrested.
