Two people remanded after house burgled

Two people ¬ a man and a woman ¬ were on Sunday remanded in police custody to help the force with their enquiries after a house was burgled this week in Nicosia.

The two, a man aged 22 and a woman aged 21, were arrested on Saturday night.

On Thursday the owner of a house in the Nicosia district reported to police that thieves broke in and stole around two thousand euro from clay money box, which they found smashed in pieces.

The two suspects were taken before Nicosia District Court on Sunday, which issued the remand order against them.

Nicosia CID is investigating.
