Animal Party seeks adopters for pig

The Animal Party on Friday appealed to the public in a bid to find someone to adopt a rescued pig weighing 350 kilogrammes provided it is not slaughtered for consumption.

The animal was given to the party by its owner who had tried and failed to sell it.

“We are asking for your help with the aim of adopting this innocent creature,” the party said in a statement.

The party said the pig will be given only to people who are either vegetarians or vegans and there was no question of it being given for slaughter and consumption.

The party said it will be supervising the new guardian and will be fully responsible for the animal’s protection and welfare.
