Fear can be a driving force to get us to make plans, strive for better things and be better people but in the workplace it can significantly impact our abilities, our working cultures, and ultimately our organisations’ success if it is not regulated.
This is why the leadership and executive training consultancy Phoenix Leaders will be giving a talk on the topic this evening at The Club in Nicosia. The organisation’s CEO and founder Valentina Kislaya and Phoenix Leader’s own specialist business psychologist Simon Ashton, will discuss fear in the workplace and how much it is costing us.
Together, they will draw upon over 15 years’ experience, combining scientific research and analysis of people’s emotions, actions and thoughts to provide an insight into how a fear of failure cannot only hold back your own personal performance, but also your business’ success.
Kislaya and Ashton will identify the common fears that can shape our behaviour in the workplace. They will also look at how the brain is affected by and responds to fear, and also offer techniques and solutions to help individuals and leaders manage fear effectively.
Phoenix Leaders advocates a growth mindset, embracing change that respects cultural legacy. The team works with both existing and future leaders to challenge their leadership styles and develop the skills and mental resilience they need to thrive in today’s fast-paced environment.
