Two arrested on suspicion of selling laughing gas

 

Two people, aged 20 and 28, were arrested in Protaras and Ayia Napa respectively on Saturday night on suspicion of selling laughing gas.

Around 11pm in Protaras a police patrol spotted the 20-year-old approaching tourists, offering them the gas.

In his possession, police said they found 23 unused ampoules, 230 empty balloons and an amount of cash. He was taken to the local police station, charged and released.

In the second incident in Ayia Napa, officers came across the 28-year-old doing the same. He had nine unused ampules, 15 used and 26 balloons.

He was also taken to a police station, charged and released.
