Three cars burn in Limassol

Three cars were damaged by fire in two separate incidents in the Limassol district early on Thursday, the fire service said.

The service said they had received a call that a car was burning in the yard of a block of flats in Germasogeia at 3.35am. They managed to bring the blaze under control half an hour later.

The vehicle was badly damaged.

Another two cars were on fire just minutes later, at 3.54am. The vehicles were parked on a pavement in Limassol’s Omonia area.

The fire was extinguished by neighbours before the arrival of fire trucks.

The two vehicles suffered external damage.

Police and the fire service are investigating the causes of the fires.
