Erdogan expected in the north on July 9

It is difficult to see any Turkish Cypriot politician standing up to Erdogan

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan is set to visit the north on July 9, his first visit after bring sworn in again after his recent re-election, and immediately after the ceremony.

According to the DHA news agency, during his visit Erdogan will officially open the Hala Sultan mosque in Mia Milia.

The mosque is huge – it covers an area of 37,000 square metres. It has four minarets and 6,000 people can pray in it at any one time.
