Perhaps one of the ways blogging has become even more popular in the present time, anime blogging has surely managed to bring together two mainstream elements – anime and blogging – into a healthy and often irresistible combination.
Needless to say, blogging about anime really takes a lot of passion – this fact just cannot be emphasized enough. Thus, even with the hardwork that you have to put into your anime blog, you will reap quite a number of fulfilling rewards. For one thing, you get to engage with like-minded people who are ready to support you by subscribing and perhaps even contributing to your blog.
On the other hand, it also has its own share of difficulties. Even the most experienced and seasoned of anime bloggers will tell you that success in this industry hardly ever comes easy. Aside from mere passion, you also need to muster up enough will to act and write consistently, no matter what setbacks come your way. What setbacks are these, you might ask? Well, here’s a list of the most common hardships (hint: the difficulty of finding the best traffic site for your blog is not yet included).
Common Problems Encountered When Anime Blogging
The first problem has to do with the demand to always stay on your toes when it comes to what is the latest trend in the anime world. If you’re tempted to say that this actually sounds pretty simple, then you’d better think again. There’s a lot of struggle involved here, because the intervals are often very short, and the changes very fast. A few seconds from now, the episode you’ve written about will probably be superseded by the next episode, which has just begun airing. Definitely not easy.
The second problem is the need to be noticed, which is really quite expected in a world that has suddenly gone crazy over anime. Sure, your parents and your high school teachers have all told you that you have a uniqueness to you that others can’t take away, but there will always be those days that you won’t feel that in your writing. And don’t worry, none of it is your fault. You just have to keep at it, keep writing, until you get it ‘right’.
The third problem you are likely to experience as an anime blogger is the fact over the years, more and more anime are being produced and reproduced; it’s becoming increasingly difficult to stay afloat and on top of things. And no, it’s not just the episodes anymore. It’s also the merchandise which you can now buy online (shops like The Iconic, anyone?), the plot twists, the emerging pop stars who look like your favorite anime characters – the list just goes on and on.
Still, despite the hardship, your patience and diligence will still win out in the end. Even if it is quite a challenging enterprise, anime blogging is still worth it, because you’re sharing valuable information to your fellow anime lovers in the community.
