Firefighters on Thursday managed to bring under control a blaze that broke out in Ayios Athanasios, Limassol.
Several fire trucks were deployed, as well as five water-dropping aircraft.
The blaze, which burned through wild vegetation, was contained by 5.30pm.
The fire broke out in a location northeast of the German Oncology Centre, at one point coming within 150m of the facility.
The precise causes were unknown, but the fire department said they pinpointed the source of the blaze just off a local road.
Firefighters remained on standby in the area throughout the night.
