Man arrested for suspected burglary

Police on Sunday arrested a 20-year-old man suspected of being involved in a house burglary in Larnaca.

On Sunday afternoon, a woman reported to police that between 8.30pm on Saturday and noon on Sunday unknown thieves had broken into her apartment and stolen jewellery and the sum of €80.

Evidence suggests the 20-year-old suspect was involved and he was arrested under a warrant in the early afternoon.

He reportedly admitted committing the crime and is expected to be charged and released while he will appear in court later on.
