New ‘yellow warning’ for high temperatures

The Department of Meteorology issued a “yellow warning” for extreme high temperatures in Cyprus on Sunday, noting that the maximum temperature inland is expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius.

The warning is valid until 5pm.

The Department of Meteorology warns over possible health risks amongst the elderly and the very young.

The maximum temperature in Nicosia is expected to reach 40C and above every day until next weekend.
