Bomb damages car in Limassol (updated)

A 40-year-old man was remanded in custody for five days in Limassol on Thursday in connection with a car bombing earlier in the day.

The man was arrested following a blast in Ayios Athanasios, which caused extensive damage to a vehicle belonging to a 67-year-old woman.

Police said the blast was caused by a high-explosive improvised device placed under the rear section of the vehicle.
