The traditions of four countries will be brought together in a series of concerts by the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra (CySO) called Scandinavian Sentiments.
The event will showcase two Finnish composers, Uuno Klami and Jean Sibelius as well as Norwegian composer Edward Grieg, Austrian composer Mozart and a Cypriot soprano. It will feature the Cyprus premiere of Klami’s Cobblers on the Heath in addition to that of Sibelius’ Arioso, op. 3. Also included in the evening will be Grieg’s Solveig’s song from Peer Gynt and Mozart’s Symphony no. 35 in D major.
