Women and the peace process

Involving women in the peace process is the subject of a second bicommunal event to be held in Nicosia on Saturday.

The Women’s Walk event will be held at the Centre of Visual Arts and Research (CVAR), in association with the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (Unficyp) and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

It will begin with a guided tour of Nicosia by Rita Severis, executive director of CVAR. Next, a discussion will follow with women from the two sides of the island on the topic of ‘women as vanguards of the peace process in Cyprus’.

Wine and cocktails will be served during the discussion.
