President to participate in EU-Arab Summit in Athens

President Nicos Anastasiades will participate in the 3rd EU-Arab Summit in Athens on Monday and Tuesday.

He will address the deliberations of the summit which will be attended by heads of state and government of EU and Arab countries.

The agenda includes issues such as Europe and the Arab World in a Challenging Global Environment; European and Arab Neighbourhood Policies in the Mediterranean, Africa and the Middle East; Migration Policies in the Mediterranean, Africa and the Middle East; and Cooperation with Arab States on Climate Change and Energy Transition.

Anastasiades will also attend the official dinner hosted by Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Monday in honour of the leaders of the states participating in the Summit.

On Tuesday he will address a dinner organised by the Cypriot Association of Shipowners within the framework of the annual General Assembly of the Association, that will take place in the afternoon and be attended by Cyprus Deputy Minister of Shipping. Natasa Pilides.

The President, who will be accompanied by Government Spokesman Prodromos Prodromou, will return to Cyprus on Wednesday.
