Man arrested for alleged abduction of ex

A 23-year-old man from Paphos was arrested on Monday for allegedly abducting a 21-year-old ex-girlfriend.

She told police that the man was waiting near her house early on Monday and when she was returning home from a night out, he grabbed her and forced her to get into his car. He then allegedly drove her to the Anatoliko industrial zone to talk. The young woman told police he kept her there for several hours against her will. When he finally let her go, she went to the police.

She reported that the 23-year-old, with whom she once had a relationship, has been putting pressure on her to get back together again.
