Arrest after attempted burglary at bakery


Police arrested a man in connection with an attempted burglary at a bakery in Trimiklini shortly after midnight on Friday.

The 55-year-old owner of the bakery informed police that he heard noises in his bakery and suspected a break-in.

Officers rushed to the scene where they spotted a man running towards the exit, trying to escape.

The 30-year-old suspect was arrested and searched. Burglary tools, screwdrivers and small knives, were found in his possession and he was also carrying a hood.
