Beautiful Barroque

The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra continues its cultivation of the local cultural scene with two concerts on November 14 and 15.

Johann Sebastian Bach and Georg Phillip Telemann, two of the better-known German composers of the Baroque era, which flourished in Western Europe from the early 17th to the middle of the 18thcentury, join forces with Johann Christian Bach (Johann Sebastian’s eleventh surviving child and his youngest son) and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Titled Beautiful Barroque, the evening concert is sure to please classical music fans. The programme will include two masterpieces from Bach, one of which will be a Cyprus premier; Overture and Suite from the opera Amadis de Gaule.
