Suspect sought after cash, jewellery worth €135,000 stolen (updated)

Police are looking for Wael Nassif Mourid Mikhail, 39, from Egypt who is suspected of being involved in a robbery during which items and cash worth €135,000 were stolen from an apartment in Germasogeia.

A 34-year-old businessman reported to police that a safe containing jewellery, watches and cash worth €135,000 was taken from his flat on Wednesday evening.

He said he suspects a 39-year-old employee against whom an arrest warrant has been issued.

Anyone who knows anything that can help locate the suspect is requested to contact Limassol police at 25-805177, any police station or the citizens’ hotline at 1460.
