Teen boy rushed to Nicosia hospital after collapsing in class (updated)

A 15-year-old pupil from Paphos was rushed to Nicosia general hospital on Tuesday after losing consciousness in class due to a suspected brain haemorrhage.

He was initially taken to Paphos emergency room and from there to Nicosia due to the severity of his condition following a CT scan.

The boy was examined by neurosurgeons at the Nicosia hospital and underwent a surgery that finished at approximately 5:30pm, according to state broadcaster CyBC.

The boy is currently in intensive care at the hospital.
