One dead in horrific crash near Tseri

One man was left dead and three others were injured in a horrific automobile accident that took place on Thursday evening in the Tseri area, outside Nicosia.

According to the police, at around 7pm a car driven by a woman collided with another vehicle, coming from the opposite direction, on the Tseri to Halepianes road. On board the second car was a 30-year-old male driver.

From the impact, the second car was hurled onto a parked vehicle, inside which were a man and a woman.

The man in the third vehicle died from his injuries. His female co-passenger was severely injured and rushed to Nicosia general hospital.

Also injured, but not seriously, was the 30-year-old in the second car, while the woman in the first car suffered mild injuries.

Police are investigating the precise circumstances under which the accident occurred.
