Three suspects remanded in prostitution case

Larnaca court

Three suspects were remanded in custody for four days on Saturday by Larnaca District Court after they were discovered attempting to turn an apartment in the Mackenzy area into a brothel.

According to police, authorities discovered an advertisement for sex for €100 posted on a website. The court then heard that when a potential customer would call the number listed that the price would be lowered to €80.

Police then conducted a stake out on the apartment building, where they saw men entering and leaving after an hour. On Friday, authorities said that an undercover officer entered the apartment pretending to be a customer.

The officer then arrested two suspected prostitutes (aged 27 and 24) and the suspected pimp, 29.

Police are continuing their investigations.
