LGS Handling, a subsidiary of the Louis Group, celebrated ten years of operation at a beautiful event held on Thursday November 22 at the Hilton Park hotel in Nicosia. The event was attended by journalists, and LGS Handling partners who attended the presentation of the company’s profile and range of services. The guests were welcomed by Louis Group Executive Director and LGS Handling’s Chairman Louis Loizou and LGS Handling Managing Director Giorgos Ioannidis. LGS Handling’s management later hosted a lunch for guests.
“The company is essentially the transformation of Louis aviation services that has been active in the passenger and freight service since 1947,” Loizou said in his address. Ioannidis referred to the company’s goals and aspirations for the future: “We are ambitious to promote the attraction of more airlines in Cyprus by offering quality services at attractive prices. We want to achieve these by acting responsibly, with practices that promote safety, health and respect for the environment, for the benefit of our customers and associates, our staff and the local communities in our areas of activity.”
For over ten years, LGS Handling has offered ground handling, passenger and freight services to more than 80 airlines at Larnaca and Paphos airports. It employs over 800 people and invests in staff training to ensure the high quality of its services. The company has also invested more than €10 million in the purchase of specialised machinery and state-of-the-art electronic systems. LGS Handling follows all international standards and security regulations and its services include ticketing services, check-in services, handling of executive passenger lounges, passenger and luggage transportation, passenger services for people with reduced mobility, flight catering, loading, unloading and cleaning of aircraft.
