Arrest for a string of burglaries

Paphos police arrested a 32-year-old man on Wednesday after evidence pointed to his involvement in three burglaries in Peyia.

The first case involved stealing a cash register worth €580 containing €60 in cash from a restaurant.

The suspect then allegedly broke into another restaurant but did not take anything.

Some €100 were stolen from an ice cream parlour in the Ayios Georgios area of Peyia in the third incident.

The arrested man denies any involvement in the thefts.
