The postal service on Monday said it was launching this year’s ‘letter to Santa’ service where children receive replies regarding their gift requests from Santa.
The service, offered free of charge, gives parents the opportunity to request a letter from Santa for their children by filling out an online form, also including what gift they had asked for.
The children will then receive a letter from Santa.
To receive a letter from Santa, the online form must be submitted by December 17, 2018.
The online form may be found at www.post2santa.com
The postal service also reminded that people should post their Christmas correspondence on time.
Priority foreign mail, letters, Christmas cards, parcels, etc should be mailed by December 11. Priority A mail should be posted by December 14, and domestic mail, Priority B should also be posted by that date.
“Correspondence mailed after the above dates may be delivered after Christmas and New Year due to the volume of postal items observed in all countries on this festive or period,” an announcement said.
To make sure items sent are delivered, people should indicate correctly and clearly the addresses, including the postal code, make sure their correspondence has the correct postal charges and take bulk correspondence to the post office instead of putting it in mailboxes.
