Hit-and-run driver sought in Limassol

The driver of a dark saloon car who hit and seriously injured a pedestrian on Tuesday evening in Limassol is wanted by police.

According to police, the pedestrian was hit around 8pm when he was crossing Kolonaki street.

The driver abandoned the scene, leaving the injured man lying on the ground.

The victim was taken to Limassol general hospital where he was diagnosed with a broken leg and a head trauma. He is being treated in the orthopaedic department.

Police are looking for witnesses and are checking footage from surveillance cameras in the area.
