A minute with Christos Nicolaides Founder of Seed of Happiness, maker of health-conscious snacks

Where do you live?
I live in Nicosia with my sister and my mum

Best childhood memory?
My first ever encounter of a cinema experience, I was six! And on that beautiful day The Lion King was premiering. I remember I was scared to go into that dark room, but my aunt convinced me to go in by saying that there was a new imaginative world and we were both going on a nice journey! So I was hooked by the “imaginary world”!

Most frequented restaurant and absolute favorite dish? What food would you really turn your nose up to?
I am a huge fan of Asian and Middle Eastern food and most particularly Japanese barbeque food. I really don’t have a particular restaurant but I have a nose and an eye for food. I am a conscious eater and I am vegan as well! I do not dislike anything that I have come across with; I think you just need to know how to accommodate and blend everything with the right ingredients.

What did you have for breakfast?
Buckwheat Granola, from Seed of Happiness, that contains hazelnuts, goji berries, coconut flakes, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds and of course marinated organic Buckwheat with Avocado on the side, accommodated with organic green tea! I take my breakfast very seriously!

Would you class yourself as a day or night person? What’s your idea of the perfect night/day out?
I think I am both! Balance is very important in life, generally speaking, I know in the morning I am more practical, meaning that I like getting the work done and at night it is brain work time, meaning brainstorming and writing my ideas down on paper! A perfect day for me goes like this: Meditation, Yoga, Breakfast, Work (Network with new people develop new ideas), Enjoy a light snack with cinnamon black tea, After 6pm go to artistic-cultural events, Meditation, sleep (minimum 7hours).

Best book ever read?
By far Think and Grow Rich By Napoleon Hill ! However, I do not read books often, I am a more visual person! Think and Grow Rich has shifted my mind set on so many levels! Basically, it gives you a guidance on how to find your purpose in life, focus and learn what is happening around you and why, as well as avoiding the “effortless loop”.

Favourite film of all time?
Terminator 2 without a question, a screen phenomenon at its time! From the idea by James Cameron and William Wisher, to the incredible creative team work blew the viewers away.

Best holiday ever taken? What’s your dream trip?
My best trip until now has been a mini euro trip that we did back when I was a student in the UK. It was a seven-day trip to Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic and Amsterdam. A ‘roller-coaster’ trip with almost zero sleep and plenty of fun!! Now the ideal holiday would be A Trip to Asia, with a more cultural approach, meaning engaging with the community and meeting with locals, particularly artists. Artists always have an interesting view of their world we live in.

What music are you listening to in the car at the moment?
Depends on the mood! From Mantras (lol) to Classical music!

What is always in your fridge?
Coconut milk or Almond milk, Nuts, fruits and vegetables and of course sweets from seed of happiness! hehe

Dream house: rural retreat or urban dwelling? Where would it be, what would it be like?
I really like heights, so my dream home would either be a flat at the top of a building (Penthouse) or a house up the hills! Nice and quiet!

If you could pick anyone at all (alive or dead) to go out for the evening with, who would it be?
With myself ten years from now.

If the world is ending in 24 hours what would you do?
Have a huge party! Celebrating the end of the new beginning!

What is your greatest fear?
Dying without giving what I really can.

Tell me a joke…
Relationships are a lot like algebra.
Have you ever looked at your X and wondered Y? 😀
