The fire service and members of the police rushed to a home in the Ayios Ioannis area in Limassol at 5am on Saturday after two vehicles were set on fire.

The vehicles belong to a 39-year-old woman, and were parked outside her home.

According to the police, only one of the cars was set on fire, but in a matter of seconds the fire spread to the second. The fire was doused by firefighters.

The first vehicle was completely destroyed, while the second suffered major damage.

The police cordoned off the scene for further examinations. Preliminary assessments confirm the case as arson, police said.
