In a blues mood

UK British Blues Award winner Bex Marshall is coming to the island for three concerts with her unique style of guitar playing that has been described as a “combined technique of slide, blues rock, ragtime and roots pickin’.”

She kicks off her live performances at Sarah’s Jazz Club in Nicosia tonight playing a range of songs. Music fans will be able to her enjoy Bex’s tunes with the venue’s special cheese and meat Jazz Platter, to satisfy all senses and fit the mood.

The following day the artist will be relocating to Paphos for a single performance, to showcase her voice texture that is described to be “a powerful melting pot of old black woman’s heartache and rock diva soul.”

A writer of distinction and notability, she pushes the boundaries of blues, her songs have been called timeless touches of genius, and now she tours with an incredibly tight three-piece band. Recently nominated for the third year running in Best Solo/Acoustic Artist category by the European Blues Awards, Bex Marshall is ready to enchant the Limassolian crowd as well with a live performance on January 9 at Sto Dromo bar, before continuing her tour abroad.

Her album The House Of Mercy (2012) received positive reviews and won 3rd Best British Blues Album of the year Award 2013.
