English lessons for third country nationals

The Aglantzia municipality is organising English lessons for third country nationals, it was announced on Thursday.

The lessons are part of the training, capacity building and orientation programmes offered under the project “Colourful Societies”.

“Colourful Societies” is co-funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (90 per cent) and the Cyprus government (10 per cent) and its main goal is to support, through local authorities, third country nationals during the integration process by eliminating the risk of social exclusion.

“Third country nationals who live in Cyprus and work legally, economic immigrants and beneficiaries of international protection – recognised refugees, subsidiary protection and asylum seekers – are able to participate in the programme,” the municipality noted.

All participants must bring their alien book or residence permit.

The lessons will take place at the Papantoniou Institute, Ippokratous 30, Plati Aglantzias on January 13, 20 and 27 from 9am until 12pm.

For further information contact Andri Eftichiou, administration officer of the municipality of Aglantzia at 22-462251 or the Papantoniou Institute at 99-957727.
